Jensen Transformers announces VRD-1FF Digital CATV Isolator

Van Nuys, Calif., September 25, 2002 -
Jensen Transformers, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high performance audio and video isolators
and transformers, announces the introduction of the ISO-MAX® model VRD-1FF Cable TV Isolator,
a digital cable compatible version of it's popular VR-1FF. The VRD-1FF helps eliminate cable
related audio and video ground loops in Home Theater systems, while maintaining reliable,
high fidelity digital video and cable modem signal quality in the 5Mhz to 870MHz frequency range
of today's demanding digital cable systems.
One of the most troublesome aspects of Home Theater system design is the Cable TV connection.
Connection of this external signal source, with it's associated AC power line noise and grounding
issues, can turn an otherwise high performance Home Theater audio/video system into a veritable
nightmare of hums, buzzes and groundloops. The ISO-MAX® VRD-1FF alleviates these problems by
providing a high impedance barrier to the AC power related noise and grounding problems, while
providing a transparent path into the system for the high frequency video and cable modem signals.
The design of the ISO-MAX® VRD-1FF is a combination of the latest technology in high frequency RF
components, coupled with state-of-the-art 3D RF computer modeling. The VRD-1FF connectors are true
75 Ohm "F" type connectors with high-quality Teflon® dielectric insulation and gold-plated contacts.
These premium connectors are integrated into a high frequency surface mount PCB assembly using sophisticated
3D finite-element RF modeling software to optimize the design, which results in extremely low reflected
energy that maintains ruler flat frequency and phase response throughout the digital cable broadcast spectrum.
Bill Whitlock, President of Jensen Transformers, Inc., says "We don't simply claim that our new
ISO-MAX® VRD-1FF has unrivaled performance, we prove it! Unlike our competitors, we publish graphs
that actually show the flatness of its frequency response and the precision of its impedance characteristics."

Jensen Transformers announces 35mm DIN Rail Interface Modules
|

Van Nuys, Calif., August 5, 2002 -
Jensen Transformers, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high performance audio and video isolators
and transformers, announces the introduction of a new product line incorporating their world famous
audio transformers into a modular, rack or wall mountable 35mm DIN Rail system, perfect for contractors,
studios and churches. All of Jensen Transformers' most popular audio interface solutions for Line Inputs,
Line Outputs, Microphone Splitters, Direct Box and Patch Bay applications are being combined with the ease
and convenience of the 35mm DIN Rail mounting system used extensively in the AC power management field.
Up to 12 different interface modules can be mounted on a 3RU rack panel, or individually cut-to-length
sections of 35mm DIN Rail can be mounted on walls or in wiring closets for custom configurations.
Each of the available 35mm DIN interface modules comes equipped with gold plated, screw terminal,
pluggable connectors for ease of installation and service. Each module also supports a number of wiring
options for popular features such as input attenuator pads, AC input coupling and termination options.
The compact 1.4"W (or 2.1"W) x 3.9"L x 2.3"H modules feature a gray UL94-VO flame retardant Noryl(R)
housing with a quick disconnect mounting tab for easy installation and removal of the modules.
A schematic diagram showing the actual internal circuitry is printed on the side of each module to
help eliminate the need to hunt for manuals in the middle of a wiring job. All of the modules are passive,
requiring no external power supply (except for the DIN-MS-2P microphone splitter module, which requires an
external 48 Volt supply if the phantom power circuitry is to be utilized).
Bill Whitlock, President of Jensen Transformers, Inc., says "Our transformer-based interface solutions
simply have no peers when it comes to system noise reduction and pristine audio performance, but these
new modules represent a major advance in the speed and convenience of their installation. System designers
and installers no longer need to compromise the performance of their premium systems by using ordinary
commodity-grade interface devices."
